Lisa Drouin is a Region Director for CEO Search with YMCA of the USA. In this role, Lisa partners with local Y Boards of Directors in the Northeast to hire their next CEOs. As the facilitator of this process, Lisa’s work includes identifying and recruiting top talent that has the relevant experience and competencies to meet the needs of the local Y in order to have a greater impact on the communities they serve.
Prior to this role which began in October 2015, Lisa served as a Y-USA Resource Director, where she supported 24 YMCAs in Massachusetts and four in Rhode Island; serving as “their single point of access” for Y-USA services to staff and volunteers. Specific services included strategic planning, board governance, operational assessments and community development. She also provided support to the Alliance of Massachusetts YMCA.
Previous to her role as Resource Director, which began in 2008, Lisa served as Leadership Development Consultant for Y-USA for four years primarily serving Ys New York, New Jersey & Connecticut. In this role, she worked with local Ys to develop staff and volunteers, “The two greatest resources we have available to strengthen our local Ys that serve our communities.”
Lisa worked in four local YMCAs; Butler, PA, Darien, CT, Rochester, NY and Phoenix, AZ for 24 years prior to joining Y-USA in January of 2004. Lisa has been with the YMCA movement for 37 years.
Lisa grew up on Martha’s Vineyard and is a proud graduate of Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School. She earned her BA from Slipper Rock State College (now University), PA. Lisa and her family live in East Falmouth, Massachusetts.
Jan Hatchard, Director of Development for Martha’s Vineyard Community Services (MVCS), has joined the team of Martha’s Vineyard Women’s Association to provide advice and support as the Board of Directors prepare their plan for fundraising and communications.
Jan is a nonprofit development professional with more than 35 years of experience in the field. Over the course of her career she has founded, staffed, and directed development offices for Family Services of Chester County (West Chester, PA), Philadelphia Children’s Alliance, and Martha’s Vineyard Community Services.
In her words, “I am delighted to play a role in helping this dedicated group of women move forward with a mission that has potential to encourage, enhance, and improve the lives of women on Martha’s Vineyard. We should all be grateful to them for sharing their vision, energy and dedications so generously.”
